I grew up in Prestons, NSW with an affinity for storytelling. My neighbourhood was small, and the entertainment options sparce, leaving me and my family to fill our time with every possible creative outlet there was. Our imaginations ran wild, and so did our love for film.

 

From VHS, to DVD, to Blu-ray and beyond it wasn't until I was nearing adulthood that it finally clicked. The only challenge then was how to pursue this new passion, with nothing but limitations stacked against me?

The answer was to own it. Don't solve the puzzle by getting rid of the limitations, the lack of equipment, training and funding. Instead, think about how to incorporate it into your creative style. And thus, a passion for the everyday, intimate film-making was born.

Film allows me to be the storyteller I've always wanted to be, but through more then just words alone. Bringing to life a story through stunning imagery, composition, editing and sound scaping is my own creative outlet.

To me, films contain an element of magic, the ability to transport us to another time and place, to capture the everyday experience; with the power to make it extraordinary.
